Modulisme Sessions 027 und 028: Laurent Perrier aka Zonk’t und Andreas Tilliander aka Morika

Laurent Perrier started playing music at the age of 15 as a drummer and singer in local Punk bands. In1986 he joined the French industrial rock band Nox and started the label Odd Size Records (with releases by P16.D4, Illusion Of Safety, Marcus Schmickler, Asmus Tietchens a.o.).

In 1990 Odd Size became a record store specializing in Industrial, Noise, Ambient, deviant Rock, New Music, Eexperimental etc., as well as a mail-order catalogue and the main source in France for those of us willing to follow those scenes.

In parallel Laurent releases music as solo artist under various aliases: Cape Fear, Zonk’t, Heal, Pylône. Around 2000, he started working for dance, theater, performance, contemporary art and sound design and today he also teaches Modular Synthesis.

Swedish musician Andreas Tilliander (b. 1977) started experimenting with electronic music and analogue synths in his early teens, and in 2000, being 22 years old, released his debut album “Cliphop” on the prestigious Raster-Noton label. The following years he recorded for the even more renowned Mille Plateaux and Force Inc. labels, being one of the outstanding artists of “clicks & cuts” electronica music.

He’s been producing techno music as well as more laidback music, slow tracks and sometimes close to Terry Riley.

As Morika, Tilliander has released eight LPs.
